卡城華埠嘉年華 （相簿） 2022-8-20
首先要多謝大家尋日抽時間過黎我地響卡城華埠嘉年華嘅擋口仔，見到咁多香港人過黎打招呼，吹下水，問下日常生活問題，瞭解下我地會館嘅方向同活動外，仲玩下擲階磚呢D咁暴露年齡嘅遊戲。有D家長仲講番自己以前爸爸帶去荔園玩時嘅情況俾小朋友知。除左新移民外，仲有好多住唐人街嘅公公婆婆，一見到我地個遊戲都非常高興及興奮，慢慢響袋到摷幾個銀仔出黎掟，中唔中奬都笑咪咪咁走，有D仲捉住我地D義工詳細講下佢地當年回憶及趣事，有D公公婆婆仲覺得我地搵到綠箭香口膠非常驚喜，原來加拿大仲有得賣， 雖然包裝上唔同左，但係呢個香口膠嘅包裝、型狀同味道，就鈎起佢地一段段已經遺忘左嘅童年回憶。希望大家都鐘意今次為大家安排嘅活動。
最後，衷心感謝每一位過黎支持我地嘅朋友，仲有咁多位義工同埋你地嘅小朋友，用心製作同埋幫手打理呢個卡城荔園嘅遊戲，當然仲要多謝卡城華埠BIA - Brian Wong。
I'd like to start by expressing my gratitude to everyone who attended the Calgary Chinatown Street Festival. Many people from Hong Kong were walking by, waving, blowing bubbles, asking me where my clubhouse was, and asking me about their daily life. Hundreds took part in a game that revealed their age during the event. Parents were sharing stories about their experiences in Liyuan with the children. Many elders that live in Chinatown also visited. They were thrilled and overjoyed when they saw me playing carnival games. Our volunteers cherished every moment when the elders shared their stories of living and immigrating to Calgary.We handed out Wrigley chewing gum as carnival gifts. It turns out Canada was still selling this brand but with updated packaging. However, the flavor, form, and shape of the chewing gum bring back some long-forgotten childhood memories. I truly hope you all enjoy what we have in store for you this time around.Last but not least, I want to sincerely thank all of my friends who helped me during this event. Many volunteers put a lot of effort into supporting me, including BIA - Bryan Wong.
